STEVE LOMBARDI OWNER
Steve combines his energy and inherent love for the marketing industry with a commitment to quality and accountability.He has a degree in journalism, but jokes that his diploma from McDonald's Hamburger U's Marketing Division has probably served the agency better. Before joining Gary Suggs in the advertising agency business, Steve worked for the Hanford Sentinel, KSBY-TV in San Luis Obispo and KEYT-TV in Santa Barbara. In the early 80's Suggs & Lombardi started Senior Magazine, a publication targeting the growing senior population on the Central Coast. Steve has always felt that the collective ego is more important than the individual ego, thus the line: "When everybody's thinking like me, nobody's thinking very much."
CLAY PETERSON MEDIA DIRECTOR
Clay joined the SLA team after nearly a decade as Field Media Manager for Anheuser-Busch where he planned, negotiated and executed media budgets for the company’s various beverages. This also meant he would have to “test” those various beverages in order to become better acquainted with them. (Although he refused to offer specifics)
With experience as a Media Buyer, Account and Media Coordinator, as well as having developed media plans for major motion pictures including Napoleon Dynamite, Sideways and the Oscar winning Crash, Clay’s background is sure to provide a long list of benefits to our clients. A graduate of UCSB with a degree in Communication, Clay is a family man with two handsome sons.
Danyelle Chavez EVENT CONSULTANT
Born and raised in Santa Maria, Danyelle loves everything the Central Coast has to offer! Danyelle has been in the marketing industry for over 15 years as a Senior Advertising Executive with Santa Maria News Media, Inc. She has worked with companies of all sizes with their marketing campaigns working with national companies, non-profits and locally owned businesses. She brings her love of the industry to SLA as our Event Media Consultant. In her free time she is the Co-Director of the Santa Maria Youth Football League’s Cheerleading Program, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a member of the Orcutt Kiwanis Club.
David Del Pilar GRAPHIC DESIGNER
David has lived his entire life in San Luis Obispo County, but he’s explored more than just the local area. He has traveled through Mexico during his childhood, visiting family and exploring the wonders of the country. He earned his B.FA at Cal Poly University, focusing on Art & Design. In the past few years, David has redesigned brand identities for different companies that include EDM music, storage, gyms, and insurance services. During his free time, he enjoys drawing, watching shows like the Arcane series, and playing video games.
